'Messenger of Hope'
Kaptembwa is one of the largest slum areas located in Nakuru, Kenya.
The 2007/08 political uprising saw the garbage-ridden lane ways and roads lined with mutilated bodies, death and destruction leaving widows, orphaned children and thousands homeless. Combined with a famine not experienced since 1984 many see only darkness, no way out, no future and no hope.
The slums of Nakuru continue to swell, a 'hand out' serves only as a band aid and poor living conditions, starvation and death will not 'go away' without long term planning, commitment and a firm belief that a difference can be made.
OUR MISSION
To provide food, educate and counsel those who are destitute, hungry and illiterate.
Our programs:
OUR VISION
Through education, monitoring progress and commitment, return those who are destitute, starving and illiterate back into a society where their voices can be heard and they can regain dignity and self respect.
The Project aims to procure property to grow food for the starving and provide shelter to those who no longer have a home, family or the will to survive.
